Protestors have blocked St Anne’s Street in Floriana after Police officers erected a blockade outside Parliament and Castille Square in Valletta.

Some have also gathered by the war memorial roundabout. Buses and cars are blocked from entering and exiting.

A protest was expected to take place in Castille Square tonight, the second in the same number of days following the arrests of Yorgen Fenech and Keith Schembri. Tourism Minister Konrad Mizzi and Economy Minister Chris Cardona have also stepped down.

However, protestors were first met with a blockade at parliament, before finding a second blockade once they made their way to Castille Square.

Yesterday, thousands gathered in Valletta to call for the resignation of Prime Minister Joseph Muscat.

Eggs, vegetables, and coins were thrown at Labour MPs leaving parliament; while a scuffle broke out between a protestor and a police officer.
