Watch: Protestors Pack Valletta Streets Demanding Maltese Hospitals Given Back To The People

A large crowd has filled Parliament Square during the Nationalist Party’s protest demanding a number of national hospitals be given back to the people.

Rattling barriers set up around Parliament as Prime Minister Robert Abela and PN Leader Bernard Grech addressed fellow MPs during today’s parliamentary session, protestors took to the streets following a landmark court case annulling the controversial Vitals-Steward hospital deal which cost taxpayers millions.

“Not only are Robert Abela and his friends complicit in the fraudulent contract of Vitals and Steward, but they also need to consistently control the national broadcasting, so that they continue defending these corrupt deals,” Grech said.

And it’s not just Parliament Square – police also placed barriers around Castille in preparation for this event’s demonstration.
