A 25-year old Maltese woman has opened up about just what it takes to battle Thyroid cancer in an emotional new video.

“When you get told you have cancer, you suddenly feel like your whole life is going to end,” Cheyenne Muscat said in a new video that’s garnering some major attention.

In the video, she explains why donations to the Malta Community Chest Fund are so important to people like her and in similar vulnerable positions.

Upon getting diagnosed with Thyroid cancer, Cheyenne was operated on and began receiving the required treatment. A year later, she went in for an ultrasound – only to discover her cancer had spread to some parts of her lungs as well.

Unfortunately, the treatment following such news wasn’t working as hoped.

Since going public with her story, Cheyenne has managed to raise hundreds of euros for charity organisation Istrina under a new campaign for Thyroid ancer sufferers called e.lementi in under 24 hours.

Aside from the financial contributions, she also received a ton of heartwarming support from the public following her recent Instagram video.

If you can donate, Cheyenne urges you to do so via +356 9983 7246 – both Revolut and BOV Pay are accepted as payment.

“I would like to thank everyone for every single penny donated, as this sheds a light of hope not only for me but other people battling cancer.”
