Watch: Repubblika Head Challenges Prime Minister To A Debate On ONE TV
Robert Aquilina, president of the NGO Repubblika, has publicly challenged Prime Minister Robert Abela to a debate on the PL’s TV channel ONE TV.
Aquilina issued this challenge after Abela referred to him in less than glowing terms during a fiery Parliament speech last night.
“When [the Opposition] disagrees with judges’ rulings, they and the civil society led by the brother of the man sitting in front of me, destroy these judges, humiliate them and use all forms of intimidation against them,” Abela said.

“That way, next time they will judge in their favour just to ensure they aren’t subjected to such vicious criticism.”
Aquilina, who is the brother of PN MP Karol Aquilina, clearly got the reference.
“The Prime Minister has just attacked me and Repubblika in Parliament,” he said. “Robert Abela won’t scare me, let alone silence my friends and I. When the time comes, I will make sure he leaves Castille in disgrace and that his friend the Prime Corrupt One [Joseph Muscat] is handcuffed and taken to court in a police van to answer for his actions.”
“The Prime Minister puts on airs in Parliament, where I don’t have a voice. I challenge him to a public debate, at a location and time that is convenient to him. I am even ready to debate him on the PL’s TV station.”
Should Robert Abela accept this challenge?
