Watch: Ricky Caruana Calls Out False Narratives After Zaylen’s Father Calls In Tears
Local podcaster Ricky Caruana took to social media to share a heartfelt message with his followers following the heartbreaking death of six-year-old Zaylen, who drowned in a pool over the weekend.
In an emotional video, Ricky claimed Zaylen’s dad called him crying and begging for help, telling him he couldn’t bear reading the comments being made online about the situation.
Caruana clarified what happened that night, saying that Zaylen’s uncle, Darryl, who is a DJ, had gone to a party with his girlfriend Dorothy, Zaylen’s aunt.

At around 3:30PM, Dorothy received a message from her sister, Zaylen’s mother, saying her son had gone missing. She immediately left the event and rushed to help search for him.
“Hours later,” Caruana said, “they found him.”
He emphasised that spreading false narratives only adds to the family’s pain during this incredibly difficult time, urging the public to stop the speculation and focus on compassion.
Caruana also called for the authorities to take action against those spreading speculation and misinformation, urging people to be more respectful in such a tragic moment.
“In a situation like this, you should write rest in peace and leave it at that.”
