Just hours after his death, Prime Minister Robert Abela announced plans to nominate former PN deputy leader Robert Arrigo for the Ġieħ ir-Repubblika national award.
Abela regarded Arrigo as a major contributor in a variety of sectors, including sports, tourism and politics.
“I know he did not like titles,” Abela said with a smile, “however I am going to be proposing that his work is recognised on Republic Day.”
