Watch: Rosianne Cutajar Says It Is ‘Ironic’ Who Was Behind Nadur Pig Costumes
Rosianne Cutajar has remarked that it is “ironic” who dressed up as a pig to poke fun at her at last weekend’s Nadur Carnival.
Questioned by Lovin Malta about the pig costumes, Cutajar said that while she “accepts satire” and that there was a “lovely atmosphere” at the Carnival, “it is ironic when one finds out who was dressed up in those pig costumes”.
Cutajar didn’t expand further, other than to tell us to “do some research”.

However, Karl Stagno Navarra, presenter of the ONE TV political show Pjazza, has suggested members of the Said family were involved.
He referred to photos of the costumes that were published to Facebook by Nadia Said, sister of PN MP Chris Said and Nadur mayor Edward Said. However, she didn’t state that she had actually participated in the stunt herself.
“To be clear, I have no problem with satire or the Said family but you have to be rich to be a Said and talk about pigging out,” Stagno Navarra said. He proceeded to whip out a 2016 article about how one of the Said siblings had benefitted from 139 jobs by the Nadur local council during a period when two of his brothers occupied the role of mayor.

Questioned about the pig costume allegation, Chris Said responded that “the beauty of the Nadur carnival is that no one knows who is behind the masks”.
The pig costumes were a reference to Cutajar’s infamous “Kulħadd jitħanżer” comment to Yorgen Fenech when discussing her previous ITS consultancy position that the National Audit Office warned was probably a phantom job.
