Watch: Rosianne Cutajar Slams ‘PN Cowards Who Can’t Look PL MPs In The Eye’

Labour MP Rosianne Cutajar launched a fiery broadside against the Nationalist Party, stating that some PN MPs are too scared to look at the PL counterparts they’re criticising in the eye.

“The Opposition is split into a thousand pieces but, wonder of wonders, they unite to turn against one of us,” Cutajar told a PL rally in Mġarr. “Ironically though, when you stop them and look them in the eye, they walk away like the cowards they are.”

With the latest MaltaToday survey placing the PL some 60,000 votes ahead of the PN, Cutajar warned that “the lack of an Opposition is a serious national problem”.

“Whenever we propose something, it’s like a game of tombla to figure out what position the Opposition will take,” she remarked, before accusing certain PN politicians of “hating” PL supporters.

“PL supporters shouldn’t be scared of these few people who hate us because we took away what they viewed as a divine right to govern Malta. We have no reason to fear them if we remain united. We have each other’s backs and if we remain united, we will keep emerging victorious.”

The political activity was replete with zingers at the PN as the PL tried to fire up its supporters in the wake of surveys reflecting a rising sense of political ennui.

Prime Minister Robert Abela mocked Opposition Leader Bernard Grech, claiming he has reduced politics to publishing Facebook posts in response to what people are saying, whereas the PL is constantly meeting people on the ground.
