Members of the Serbian community in Malta, today, at 11.52am, gathered at Triton’s Fountain in Valletta to honour the victims of the Novi Sad tragedy.
The silent protest lasted 15 minutes and was a show of solidarity with the ongoing student-led demonstrations in Serbia.

Public outrage has been fuelled by allegations of poor oversight in the structure’s renovation and conflicting information from government officials.
Since the tragedy, mass protests have swept across Serbia, with students and citizens blocking streets daily at exactly 11.52am for 15 minutes to remember the victims and demand accountability from those in power.
These demonstrations have faced opposition, with reports of aggression, threats, and even violence, including a recent incident where a car rammed into a crowd of protestors, injuring a young woman.
Despite this, the movement has continued to grow, with tens of thousands calling for justice and accountability.
Today’s silent assembly in Valletta reflects the resilience and determination of the Serbian community worldwide to stand united for justice.
