Watch: ‘Sorry Ma’ – Reforms Minister Rebecca Buttigieg Confirms She Smoked Weed
Rebecca Buttigieg, the junior minister in charge of reforms, confirmed she has smoked weed in the past.
“Yes, I have tried it when I travelled overseas, just like all other youths,” Buttigieg said during an interview on Jon Mallia’s discussion show Il-Każin.
“Sorry Ma,” she added with a chuckle.
Buttigieg, whose portfolio includes the cannabis reform, becomes the latest politician to confirm she has tried weed. PL MP Rosianne Cutajar and Home Affairs Minister Byron Camilleri both confirmed with Lovin Malta in the past that they had used the plant in their lives.
