After four days missing, Gin was reunited with her owners this morning after a family found her wandering around Buskett.

And animal rights activist Alison Bezzina was there to film the absolutely emotional moment the 1-year-old Shih Tzu was reunited with his owners. In scenes reminiscent of the classic Homewad Bound, Gin’s owners ran towards her and sobbed tears of relief as they hugged her tightly as though they never wanted to let go.

“There are not enough Thank You’s to express our gratitude towards everyone,” owner Olivia Bilocca said in a Facebook post. “We’ve had so much support and people helping us to find her. She was found in the same place she went missing by my daughter’s friend and her parents. We will forever be grateful.”

The family who found Gin rejected the €1,000 reward that was put out for her and the dog’s owners have now decided to donate that money to the Association for Abandoned Animals.
