‘They’ve Decided To Massacre All The Trees Between Marsaskala And Żabbar This Morning’
A local resident has sounded the alarm after waking up to find a number of trees being chopped down on a Sunday morning.
“They’ve decided to massacre all the trees here this morning,” the woman says, sharing footage from the road.
In the footage, a number of workers can be seen removing the trees, with a truck carrying a grinder to receive the freshly-cut trees to be destroyed.
The resident shows a number of other trees that she says are set to be torn down next.
“I’m being told that these ones are up next,” she said. “They said they are dead… of course they are dead, because they’ve been left with their roots exposed for months, only so that they could have an excuse to chop them down…”
