Watch: Transport Minister Challenged To Ride A Bike In Malta To ‘Experience’ A Daily Commute

Malta’s Transport Minister has been issued a challenge to use Malta’s bicycle lanes “to see the situation for yourself firsthand”.

“We’d like to publicly invite you for a bicycle ride in some of Malta’s bicycle lanes for an experience on what commuters encounter on a daily basis, to in return discuss the potential solutions to such issues,” fitness community group Bulletproof said in a new video.

“We are waiting for your reply.”

The invitation to Aaron Farrugia would see the minister riding a bike alongside some of Malta’s most prominent cyclists during peak hours during the day so he would experience what cyclists face on a day to day basis.

Bulletproof said that the only way to tackle the issue was to “start a discussion”.

People loved the idea online, with some saying “and this how you do it! Well done for this invite. Hopefully soon I can ride a bike, feel safe about it and help with less emissions”.

Do you think Aaron Farrugia will accept the invitation?
