Watch: Valletta Road Blocked As Seven Youths Taken To Court On Terrorism Charges

Police vehicles blocked a road near the law courts as seven Syrian youths were brought in over terrorism-related charges on Sunday evening.

The suspects, who were arrested yesterday morning, were between 21 and 27 years old. Five of them reside in Hamrun, another in Pieta and Birkirkara.

Among the list of charges, the seven were accused of inciting others to commit terrorist crimes, recruiting people, teaching others how to build explosives and firearms and glorifying terrorism.

All seven pled not guilty to the charges.

All remain in custody.

The arrest operation was a collaboration with Europol.
