Watch: Vincent Marmara Forecasts PL And PN Will Elect Three MEPs Each
Leading statistician Vincent Marmara has forecast that the Labour Party and the Nationalist Party will elect three MEPs each at the upcoming European Parliament election.
Delving into the implications of his latest survey, which placed PL at a 25,400-vote advantage over PN, Marmara said both main parties are on course to elect three MEPs each.
This would see Malta return to a state of political equality of arms at the European Parliament, after PL enjoyed a 4-2 majority over the past five years.

European Parliament President Roberta Metsola and PL MEP Alex Agius Saliba will almost certainly get reelected, while surveys have indicated that the likes of Daniel Attard, Clint Azzopardi Flores, Steve Ellul (PL), David Casa, Peter Agius, David Agius (PN) are also polling relatively highly.
Marmara’s survey forecasts a turnout of 69%, down from 73% in the 2019 European Parliament election, although the statistician noted that political parties can still convince undecided voters.
“The undecided often cancel each other out between the two main parties, although if a party has a stronger campaign, they can convince more people,” he said.
