Watch: ‘We Need To Take Noise Pollution Seriously’ – PL MP Randolph De Battista
Labour MP and CEO Randolph De Battista has urged the government to take “serious” action to combat noise pollution.
“Sometimes we think that noise pollution is just about bars playing loud music,” De Battista said in Parliament.
“However, many people cannot sleep at night because their neighbour’s house has been converted into a restaurant or a shop and a pump or fridge is now making noise day and night by their bedroom wall.”

“No words of comfort or financial incentives can cure you when you cannot sleep at night. We must take these things seriously.”
De Battista also called for action to combat light pollution, warning that children with autism are negatively impacted by bright shop displays.
