Watch: ’You Asked Me To Tell You Who The Establishment Is… Here It Comes’: Delia To Abela
Adrian Delia said that Robert Abela is a key part of the establishment after the Prime Minister implied that the “establishment” removed him as PN leader four years ago.
“After Robert Abela was asked who the establishment is, he said they should ask me who it is, so here it comes,” Delia told a political rally in Żebbuġ this evening.
“Let me tell you who the establishment in the past ten years was – Joseph Muscat, Keith Schembri, Chris Cardona, Edward Scicluna, Chris Fearne, Robert Abela, Joseph Muscat’s Cabinet, and all those who voted time and time again in Parliament in favour of foreign companies and corrupt fraudsters and against the people of Malta.”
In a fiery press conference today, Abela insisted that he isn’t part of the establishment despite holding the most powerful position in the country.
Instead, he said that the establishment are those who removed Delia from power.
“They threw him out, and may I remind everyone how cruel the establishment is,” Abela said. “They destroyed Delia’s personal life, they humiliated him, and then they replaced him with someone whose strings they can easily pull [Bernard Grech]. If they tell him to do something, he’ll do it.”
