‘We Aren’t Arrogant’: PL’s Alleged Line To Take On Girlfriend Job Scandal Published By PN Candidate
PN candidate Beppe Galea has published a WhatsApp message which he said was sent to PL MPs to ensure they stick to the script on the minister’s girlfriend job controversy.
The message seemingly instructs PL politicians to shift the focus onto the Nationalist Party, to insist that they aren’t arrogant, and to clarify that they agree with Robert Abela, who has defended ministers Clayton Bartolo and Clint Camilleri.
“The Standards Commissioner never said what the PN is claiming he did, the same PN which has constantly insulted the same Commissioner,” the message reads.
“We always respect institutions, and when they take decisions that can improve our operations, rest assured that we aren’t arrogant and we’re willing to improve. On this case, the Prime Minister has already spoken publicly. I agree with his declarations and I have nothing more to add.”
