‘We Have A Right To Know’: Alex Borg Calls Out State For ‘Hiding’ Price Of Foreign Gozo Channel Service
Gozo Shadow Minister Alex Borg has called out the state for “hiding” the price of the service of one of the Gozo channel ferries in a response to a parliamentary question.
“This is the response of someone who had something to hide, not who knows how to govern.”
Borg submitted a parliamentary question asking Gozo Minister Clint Camilleri how much the service of the charter vessel MV Nikolaos is costing Gozo Channel Ltd, which is “ultimately funded by our taxes”.
“The typical and abusive response of Abela’s administration is that this is commercially sensitive information. This is the answer of someone who has something to hide.”
“Someone who hides is not someone who knows how to govern.”
“As citizens, we have a right to know how much a ship that is known to be of a lower class is costing us,” he concluded.
Do you think that Maltese citizens have a right to know about the price of this service?
