We Know Who You Are, Former NET Journalist Warns Caruana Galizia Murder Mastermind
Former NET journalist Norman Vella warned the mastermind behind Daphne Caruana Galizia’s assassination that people now know who he is.
“The truth is that we know full well who paid for the explosion which killed Daphne,” Vella told a protest in Valletta to mark the two year anniversary of her assassination.
“We don’t yet know the name and surname but we know that he has a lot to hide and that he is ready to do anything for us not to discover his dirty secrets. We know the mastermind feels omnipotent, he feels he has more power than all of us here together. He feels that way because he is certain that the authorities, which are supposed to protect us, will never catch him and make him taste justice.”
Vella said that the failure of the Maltese authorities to arrest and prosecute people whose criminality Caruana Galizia had exposed ultimately means that the state failed in its duty to protect the journalist.
“Those people who seized the Maltese state will remove every photo, candle and flower we put her tonight because they want to forget Daphne and they want to erase her from our collective memory, as though a journalist who exposed their corruption never even existed, just as those who paid for the car bomb wanted to silence her.”
