A Rainy Start To Spring? Here’s This Week’s Weather In Malta
St Patrick’s Day in Malta turned out to be a sunny Sunday perfect for picnics, road trips and the day-long festivities full of alcohol and banter. Now, with another cause for celebration waiting for us just round the corner thanks to tomorrow’s public holiday, here’s what the weather is set to be this weekend.
In short, it’s going to be a mix of sun, warm temperatures… rain and wind. Yep.
Today’s sunny start will see highs go all the way up to 21°C, with this evening’s lows of 13°C still feeling rather warm thanks to the barely breezy Force 2 winds.
Saint Joseph should also be rather fine, with a mainly cloudy day of 17°C highs and slightly stronger winds of Force 3 and 4. However, by the midweek, things are going to get rainy and windy… just in time for spring.
Isolated showers will dominate most of Wednesday and Thursday, with the notherly and easterly winds getting more and more powerful. In fact, by Thursday, Force 6 and even 7 winds will be hitting the islands. Eesh, talk about an awkward start to spring.
On Friday, however, the week will be ending with a mainly cloudy day that shouldn’t have rain, and the highs of 17°C would definitely feel slightly warmer than the previous days thanks to the ever-waning winds (which would’ve reached Force 4 by then).
