We’re now just a couple of weeks away from the start of spring, and Malta has not disappointed with warmer, sunnier days. Last Sunday was in fact the warmest day of the year yet, but if this week’s forecast is anything to go by, it’s about to get a whole lot warmer.
The week’s start is just as warm as Sunday, with highs of 21°C being reported across the island. The UV index will also start climbing, getting to a 6 over the day. The lows of 13°C are in fact warmer than some of the days in the last couple of weeks.
The rest of the week is similarly warm, seeing highs of 18°C and 19°C and a steady UV index of 5. And even though there will be bouts of Force 4 and Force 5 winds, especially over Tuesday and Thursday, the worst incoming weather should be partly cloudy. In fact, the highest chances of rain this week won’t ever go over 10%.
As far as this weekend goes, however, things are about to intensify.
Firstly, Friday will see temperatures climb even higher, well past the 20s. In fact, the first day of the weekend is set to get highs of 23°C, solidly putting Malta in spring weather. The sunny start to weekend will continue onto a warm, 20°C Saturday, but the wind will also be making a gusty return to the islands.
Saturday and Sunday will be seeing the Force 3 and 4 winds go all the way up to Force 6, even increasing to Force 7 over Sunday. The whole week would’ve seen the wind fluctuating between westerly and southerly moments, so those temperatures are only set to feel even warmer by the end of the week.
So if you’re a fan of sunny, warmer days, you’re in luck for the week ahead.
If you prefer the colder, rainier days that dominated last month, we’re sorry?
