‘Blast Of Cold Air’ Incoming! Malta’s Gearing Up For One Windy Weekend… And Rain Could Be On The Menu Too

It’s been a disappointingly warm start to October this week, but autumn temperatures could finally be heading to Malta… and as soon as tomorrow, too!

The sudden and fresh change will mostly be down to the wind, which is set to go all the way up to Force 6 and blow from the northwest over the first day of the weekend. Pair that with highs of 26°C and lows that just about make it to 20°C, and you might want to consider those short sleeves for Friday evening!

Facebook forecasting page Malta Weather echoed Malta International Airport’s forecast, going so far as to quote “a blast of cold air penetrating the central Mediterranean” behind the fresher spell.

Saturday, while still potentially holding moderately strong winds of Force 4 and 5 and fresh lows of 20°C, seems to hold slightly better weather and only a partly cloudy overlook, but by Sunday, the highest temperature will drop again, with possible showers making their way to the islands. Maybe it’s time to bring out your favourite umbrella after all?
