Don’t Panic: Here’s The Weather For This Weekend In Malta

Article Featured Image

Menacing black clouds is how most people in Malta were welcomed into the weekend this morning, but we’ve got some good news. Or at least, better than that big ass black cloud you found hovering over your house when you woke up.

According to the Malta Airport Forecast, today’s not looking too good as far as sunny spells go. Sure, we won’t get any hour-long, torrential downpours, but isolated showers are set to persist till later today. These showers might even be heavy and blustery at times, with winds of up to Force 5 plummeting the island from the northwest.

Of course, if you were hoping for any respite, you can forget it; today’s high temperatures of 30°C will feel more like 34°C, so we’re still very much in the “I-can’t-wear-anything-except-this-flimsy-tshirt-which-still-feels-like-it’s-melting-away” territory.

By tomorrow, the chance of rain should be dropping to negligible levels, with Sunday mirroring the same, partly cloudy weather and 35°C apparent temperatures. Evenings’ lows will never go below 24°C.

The wind over all of this weekend will still be rather strong and might even go up to Force 6 over Sunday, but if you had any plans for sunbathing or swimming, don’t be too hasty to cancel. Just keep yourself updated on any last-minute changes, and check which beach would be ideal for the time you were planning on visiting. If you were planning on spending a day at the beach today, though, you might want to take a literal rain check… or an umbrella, just in case.
