It hasn’t exactly been very autumnal weather in Malta yet, but that’s not really surprising. Anyone living on the islands for more than four season should know that it doesn’t really get cold until the last couple of weeks of the year (if at all)… but we could just finally be getting some fresh temperatures this week after all.
OK, so highs that feel like 27°C aren’t exactly the coldest around by any stretch of the imagination, but if you add isolated showers on Tuesday and Wednesday and wait for the sun to set, this week’s lows will plummet to 20°C, and will actually go sub-20s for the second half of the week.
And when compared to the seemingly endless summer we just had with super sunny days that felt like breaching 40°C on multiple occassions, we’re just glad we might actually need to get a zip-up for some of this week’s evenings. Because God knows I’ll take a thin jacket and an umbrella over those two same pair of shorts any day.
The winds won’t be as strong as last week, with the southeasterly winds only getting moderately breezy on Wednesday when things take a turn to the northwest and go up to Forces 3 and 4. But hey, a decreased UV index all the way to 5 is another welcomed change that we’ll gladly take. Besides; it’ll be November soon enough!
