Getting Hot Again! Malta Heat Making A Comeback As Temperatures Set To Rise For Santa Marija And Beyond

After Malta’s recent spell of unbearable heat, the temperatures finally cooled off with strong winds – a true breath of fresh air for Malta residents, and just in time for Santa Marija celebrations!

However, in the coming days the temperature is set to rise again, albeit not by much each day.

“After days of somewhat fresh weather and wind during the worst part of the weather, we will now see an anticyclone getting strong across the central Mediterranean and hotter weather than what we’ve had,” Facebook forecasting page It-Temp Madwarna announced ahead of this week.

Temperatures are forecasted to reach 34°C feeling like 36°C over the weekend – bringing not only the promise of heat but also the worry of another scorching heatwave.

With lows rising from 22°C to 24°C and a constant UV of 9 throughout the week, we can only hope that this doesn’t turn into a repeat of July’s events.

Fortunately, the weather forecast for the coming week does not look like it will even compete with the extreme conditions the island experienced not so long ago.

However, with temperatures getting warmer and warmer, we cannot really tell how far they will rise.

Do you think Malta will experience another extreme heatwave?
