June’s First Weekend To Bring Double Digit UV Index And Nearly 30 Degrees To Malta
June in Malta has already kicked off with a relatively warm spell… but it’s about to get even hotter and sunnier by this weekend.
According to current forecasts, despite potential rain today and maybe even on Sunday, it’s looking like a very warm start to summer’s first month in Malta, with temperatures steadily rising until they feel slightly less than 30ºC.
But that’s not all – the UV Index will also be going up this weekend, hitting dangerous double digits by Saturday.
However, temperatures are at an all-time low for this time of year, with last year’s first day of June hitting 36 degrees, while this year it was just 24 degrees – a difference of 12 degrees.
This means that Malta’s summer for 2023 has already kicked off in quite a moderate way, with experts even predicting that this year will see fewer heat waves than years prior.
