If you woke up to a very grey morning and raindrops on your window and found yourself thinking “FINALLY”, then we have some good news for you. This weekend in Malta might end up being the rainiest one we’ve gotten in months.
Today will continue being the cloudy, slightly wet day it’s been so far, with thundery showers forecasted for the rest of the day. The one thing we’re not getting yet, of course, is sweater weather: today’s highs of 29°C will still feel like 33°C, with the southerly Force 2 winds not doing much in the way of freshness.
As for the long Independence Day weekend, tomorrow kicks the island off with even more potential thundery showers. That chance of rain will keep going down until eventually, the sun should return for a partly cloudy Sunday.
The temperature will also budge down a tad, feeling like 32°C for the next couple of days. As far as evenings go, we’re looking at lows of 22°C for the rest of the weekend, and as the wind picks up to Force 3 and becoming even 4 on Sunday, it’s bound to feel a bit fresher.
