Real Or Fake? Photographer Captures Doomsday-Like Shots Of Mushroom Clouds Looming Over Malta

It finally rained in Malta last weekend but the wetness also came with some incredibly unusual and breathtaking cloud formations that resembled a scene out of an apocalyptic movie.

Photographer Debbie Pisani captured the incredible moment when Malta’s skies defied the norm and took a life of its own, creating some unusual formations that look like a nuclear mushroom cloud…

“Unusual cloud formation. Looks as if they’re bombarding villa Bighi,” she said in a Facebook post.

One of the photographs captures a rising cloud over the historic Villa Bighi in Kalkara giving off the impression that the naval hospital was being bombarded… like 1942 all over again.

At first glance, one can’t help but think that these photos are fake, but they’re 100% real.

Pisani admits that a tad of photoshop was used to punctuate the colours of the clouds but the actual formations were real and visible from all over Malta yesterday as the island got its first taste of rain this year.

People took to comment section on Facebook commending the photographer for her excellent work and drawing parallels between these formations and the events of World War II when Malta was bombed almost every day for two years.

The ominous clouds loom over Malta’s shipyards as if the aftermath of a nuclear explosion…

Mother Nature never ceases to amaze us!
