The Maltese islands got treated to some of the first bouts of rain and thunder this side of summer last week, but as the first day of autumn gets even closer, it seems like the cloudy mixed bag from the last couple of days were just the beginning.

If you were hoping for some sub-30°C weather, you’re goingto be a bit disappointed. Highs that feel as warm as 32°C by Wednesday will only be exacerbated by southerly winds, but Malta will be getting strong gusts that start off with Force 2 today but go all the way up to Force 6 by the end of the week.

As for what the weather forecast’s looking like, the week will see everything from a mainly sunny Wednesday to a cloudier Thursday. Your best bet for some rain, meanwhile, will be either on Tuesday or on Friday (the 13th, aptly so).
