Scorcher Incoming! Malta’s Very Hot Streak Expected To Continue For ‘At Least 10 Days’
Very hot temperatures with near-negligible breezes are set to not only return to Malta today, but persist throughout this whole week.
Today’s highs of 32°C are set to feel way hotter, with Malta International Airport’s weather forecast anticipating apparent temperatures of 35°C, and Facebook forecaster Malta Weather actually saying it could even feel “as hot as 37°C”.
“Temperatures in Malta and Gozo are expected to hover around the average mark for at least 10 days as an upper level cold pool persists across the central Mediterranean,” Malta Weather continued, explaining why this intense heat might be with us for more than just a couple of hours.
Meanwhile, today kicked off with a hazy morning, as the sun already started shining down with an extreme UV Index of 11 which is set to go on for every single day this week.
The rest of the week is looking like more of the same as far as Malta’s weather goes.
Highs will never dip below 31°C, with the actual temperature always hitting the mid 30s.
Meanwhile, the lowest the temperature will ever get at night this week will be a warm-ish 22°C, which will definitely not feel too fresh with the variable wind that isn’t expected to hit higher than Force 3.
Friday, however, is expected to bring with it a day of moderate-to-strong winds of Force 5 by the end of the week.
