Sweater weather is well and truly on its way. With November fast approaching, the Met Office has forecast a thunderstorm to strike Malta this weekend.
Today promises to be a cloudy but overall fine day, with highs of 24°C and lows of 17°C, relatively mild for winter. However, this will literally be the calm before the storm, with thundery showers set to hit on Saturday, a pleasant experience if you’re at home with a mug of tea and a book but a nightmare if you’re stuck outside.
The storm will subside into mere rainfall by Sunday, but another thunderstorm will hit the islands on Monday, just in time for the new week.
Temperatures will remain mild throughout, swinging between 24°C and 17°C, with winds going up to Force 4-5 on Monday.
