Temperatures Continue Rising As Yet Another Sunny Spring Weekend Set To Grace Malta
Illegal as it may be to congregate outside in groups of larger than three, COVID-19 hasn’t stopped the weather in Malta from steadily shifting to sunny, warm and springy AF. And it looks like there’s even more from where that came from this weekend.
While the last couple of days have been a tad cloudier than usual, it looks like the weather in Malta is set to gradually improve by tomorrow.
The sun will dominate much of this weekend – particularly Saturday – with temperatures climbing all the way up to 22°C by Sunday.
That’s right; it looks like Malta’s slowly but surely bidding farewell to the sub-20-degree days that have dominated the islands for what feels like the first time since summer 2019, showing signs of an incoming warmer period just in time for May.
In fact, by Sunday, the UV Index will go all the way up to 9 for one of the first times this whole year.
The evenings’ lows will also be slowly climbing, with Sunday night expected to feel as balmy as 15°C. Meanwhile, southerly winds that will rarely go above Force 3 will most probably make this weekend feel warmer and stickier than the last.
It looks like Malta still isn’t completely clear from rain, though, as the current weather forecast for next week shows a slightly different story…
As it stands, it looks like the islands might get some isolated showers next Monday and Tuesday, with winds shifting to stronger northwesterly gusts that could even go all the way up to Force 6. Temperatures might also temporarily budge down as a result.
Whether Malta gets blisteringly hot days perfect for picnics or fresher showers that make for a great road trip, though, we all know what we should be doing right now.
Unless absolutely necessary, please refrain from going outside. There’s a global pandemic that’s still on the loose out there, and the more we cooperate with health authorities, the quicker we get out of this shitstorm.
