The end of this unbearable heatwave is finally nigh. Cool Force six to seven winds are hitting the Maltese islands tomorrow, marking the end of heatwave Cerberus.

Local weather page It-Temp Madwarna issued a wind warning for tomorrow, as North Western winds are set to hit the islands tomorrow.

Today, the heatwave is set to peak, with temperatures set to feel as high as 43 degrees – in the shade, that is.

The red warning which was issued by Malta’s meteorological office is still in effect, with citizens being advised to not step outside between 11am to 4pm.

But as of tomorrow, temperatures are forecast to drop to a high of 32 degrees, noting a drop of more than 10 degrees.

And even better, Thursday is forecast to have a high of only 29 degrees, after more than a week of 40+ temperatures.

However, even with the significant temperature drop, the UV will still remain as high as 11 on Friday, with sunblock to be applied every hour and protective clothing to be worn.
