The Rumbling Returns! Malta Airport Weather Page Warns Of Thunderstorm Hitting ‘In The Next Few Hours’
Thunder and lightning dominated most of October’s end over Malta, but it looks like the first of November will soon be bringing in even more of the same.
While this morning started off fine enough, it looks like that might all change soon enough with the arrival of rain and thunder.
In fact, a yellow alert is currently active on the official MIA weather forecasting page, warning that “thunderstorms are expected to affect the Maltese Islands in the next few hours”
Temperatures are also expected to nudge down by a degree or two, hovering at highs of 22°C and lows of 17°C tonight.
As for the next couple of days, though, the weather seems to be getting much better soon enough, with only isolated showers slated for Saturday and a partly cloudy day seeing the first weekend of November off on Sunday. The wind will start picking up though, with northwesterly moderate breezes of Force 3 today gradually going all the way up to southwesterly gusts of Force 5 and 6.
As for today’s thunderstorm, though, we’re going to have to wait and see. But best be warned!
