Soaring temperatures are part and parcel of Maltese summer, and now that we’re in the second week of July, it’s only set to get hotter. This week’s forecast for the island has sunny days across the board, along with a rising UV index that’ll help push temperatures past the mid 30s.

Today kicks the week off with highs of 31°C feeling more like 34°C, and the mild westerly Force 2 and 3 winds won’t do much in the way of easing that. What’s more, the lowest temperature in the evening will be siting at a warm 22°C all throughout the week. As for the rest of the week, every day’s forecast looks to be identical; sunny, calm and very hot.

By Thursday, the weather will shift to even warmer temperatures, as the end of the week sees highs budging up even further.

While the weekend holds more of the same, both the highs and lows will be reaching even higher temperatures. Friday is set to feel like 35°C, and Saturday and Sunday will even go up to 36°C.

Even the lowest temperatures after the sun has set will be seeing an increase, with 23 and 24°C forecasted for the weekend. By then, the UV index will also have gone up to 11, so we’re looking at a long week on sun tans ahead of us.
