Thunder, Rain And Another Temperature Drop Could Be Heading To Malta This Week

Heatwaves in October are pretty annoying, but alas, it’s what you get for living in a Central Mediterranean island. Thankfully for Malta, this week should feature something rather different than the last couple of days.
Today’s cloudy start will see yet another day of highs that exceed 30°C, but it won’t be long until the temperature strarts dropping again.
In fact, expect Mala’s warmest spells to not get higher than 25°C by Tursday, in what is slated to be the second five-degree drop in a couple of weeks.
Meanwhile, the varied week could kick off before then… with isolated showers and a possible thunderstorm hitting the islands as early as today.
According to the current Malta International Airport forecast, a thunderstorm could arrive today, with isolated showers possibly persisting tomorrow with still-high temperatures that feel as warm as 30°C.
As the wind continues to shift, the southern gusts which were making their way to Malta over the weekend will gradually blow from the northwest… eventually going up to Force 5 by the end of the week.
