Thunderstorms Surround Malta As Sunny Skies Are Set To Return This Week
Thunderstorms have been surrounding the Maltese islands during the early hours of the day, just as sunny skies and warmer temperatures are set to return once again later this week.
After a significantly dry start to the Autumn season for Malta and Gozo, the last few days have been characterised by continuous rainfall and at times, roaring thunder, finally marking the beginning of cooler days.
Just this morning, hundreds of lightning bolts surrounded the Maltese islands and beyond, with many waking up to the sound of thunder.
But Thursday will mark the end of the stormy weather, as sunny skies and a slight increase in temperature is set to return shortly.
Thursday onwards will feature temperatures as high as 25 degrees and minimal cloud coverage, before the rain returns again next week.
The sunny weather will continue on until next Wednesday, before some days of high wind and showers return at the end of next week.
