Thundery showers are being predicted for today and days to come, as unstable weather is set to surround the Maltese Islands as of this evening.

Today’s thundery showers would be the first in a series of days featuring heavy cloud cover, isolated showers and thunder, all through the upcoming weekend, according to Malta Weather.

“Everything indicates that starting tomorrow evening, the Mediterranean will be affected by low pressure, which is expected to bring unstable weather,” Aġġornament tat-Temp predicted yesterday.

This unstable weather is expected to last for several days, almost until end of September.

Today is set to start off with partial cloud covering, becoming much cloudier late in the evening, with a high chance of rain after 8pm.

The wind will start as a northwest force 4, turning west-northwest force 3/4 during the day, and shifting to a west-southwest force 3 in the evening.

The highest temperature will reach 27°C and the lowest will be 20°C, with a humidity of 80%.
