It’s ludcrious to even be saying it, but it looks like 40°C weather is Malta’s new summer norm, at least as far as these last couple of weeks have gone. Well, this week isn’t starting out any different (there’s even a Yellow Waring on the umpteenth heatwave heading our way for today and tomorrow)… but Santa Marija might hold some relatively breezy relief.
OK, so maybe 35°C is still hot everywhere else around the planet, but we’ll take whatever we can get. And that’s exactly what Malta is getting… along with some potential cloud cover and moderate-to-high Northwesterly winds of Force 5 and 6 for Santa Marija and its eve.
And even though the highs of 32°C will feel like 36°C again by Friday, the forecast’s prediction of a partly cloudy day seems like the taste of autumn many of us have been dying for.
In the meantime though, a couple of dangerously hot days await, so don’t hold your breath and hydrate yourselves. Please.
