Wait, What’s Happening? Strong Winds, Lower Temperatures And Even Rain Could Suddenly Be Heading To Malta
Remember how last week’s overnight heat burst had seen Malta’s temperatures shoot into the mid 30s, bring with it super sunny days, and effectively usher in summer 2020? Well, this week has just stepped in and asked everyone to hold their collective horses.
Today’s overcast (albeit still pretty warm) day was only the beginning, with decreasing temperatures, increasing wind speeds and even some rain set to hit the Maltese islands soon enough.
In fact, the daytime temperature is set to drop by a whole 5°C overnight, with today’s apparent highs of 28°C only reaching 23°C by tomorrow.
This should persist throughout the week, with only minor changes that will eventually see Friday’s sunnier day feel more like 26°C.
The wind isn’t really showing any signs of dying down, with forecasts of Force 4 and 5 northwesterly gusts set to plough the islands for at least the next three days.
And yes, it looks like isolated showers could make their way to Malta this week, specifically on Thursday. You know, May’s penultimate week. Oh, what an interesting year it’s been for pretty much everything under the sun (and even some of the stuff hiding it too).
