Watch: Tigne Point Store Ceiling Collapses As Torrential Rain Floods The Island
At least one store within popular Sliema shopping mall Tigne Point has suffered extensive damage as torrential rains hit the island.
Footage sent to Lovin Malta shows a collapsed ceiling with a gaping hole within a store on what is believed to be level -2 and flooding within the complex itself.
Staff can be seen rushing to the site of damage to clean up the water seeping through to the atrium outside.
This comes just one day after Black Friday, when countless people flocked to popular shopping areas like The Point. However, it is not yet known whether anyone was in the store this morning at the time of the incident, and whether anyone was injured.
