Watch: Xlendi Hit By Flash Flooding After Intense Storm
The Maltese islands were lashed by an intense storm yesterday evening, bringing heavy rainfall, flashes of lightning, and flooding across several areas.
One of the worst-hit spots was Xlendi in Gozo, where the road turned into a river within minutes.

Photos and videos shared by local resident Ramona Mercieca show cars partly submerged in floodwaters as the seaside town struggled to cope with the flood.
Xlendi, nestled in a valley, is no stranger to flooding, with heavy storms often funnelling water straight into the seaside village, leading to scenes like those witnessed yesterday.
