Will It, Won’t It? This Morning’s Predicted Storm Could Miss Malta… Or Show Up This Afternoon
The long-awaited predicted storm which was due to hit the Maltese islands between 9am and 2pm today seems to have missed us… or has it?
But weather page Aġġornament Tat-Temp is saying that the forecast might have changed slightly – and the storm could still hit us later on today.
“Is it just a matter of time, or the forecast weather wasn’t accurate?” the popular page questioned.
“Yesterday evening, Estofex, the largest web system for weather forecasting, issued a warning about severe storms over us. What happened?”
“The easy explanation would be that so far there’s a big difference between what was predicted and what’s actually happening. However, our system is still marking rain, which could show up later in the afternoon.”
“A lack of wind in the upper atmosphere, as well as an African anticyclone with its pressure, is significantly weakening the bad weather that has currently reached Pantelleria, meaning it’s four hours late.”
“Extreme weather clearly won’t hit us.”
“The rain indication for tomorrow is between 60% and 70%. This means that the only thing changing is the timing. The longer it takes to reach us, the more it loses its intensity as rain. We hope that’s the case!”
Meanwhile, other pages are predicting that Malta will just remain cloudy today, with high levels of humidity.
