With Easter Fast Approaching, The Weather In Malta Is Finally Starting To Look Way Better

After a rainy and windy spell, the Maltese Islands are finally set to get some proper springtime weather this week, just in time for Easter weekend. Here’s a look at this week’s weather forecast.
Today’s weather – mainly cloudy but not too fresh with highs of 17°C and lows of 10°C – will be repeating itself over the next couple of days, with Tuesday and Wednesday pretty much echoing the exact same weather. Wednesday is set to be a tad sunnier, but everything else – from the UV index to the Force 4 to 5 winds – should be a carbon copy of today.
Thursday, on the other hand, is when things start getting better. The highs will finally reach the 20s (just about, with 20°C), and the lows are also set to be less fresh with 12°C. The winds will shift from northwest to southwest, also calming down to Force 3. Anticipating the long weekend, the UV index will also budge up by one.
Of course, the big highlight this week is the long Easter weekend which kicks off with Good Friday. And you’d pleased to know that, as far as the weather goes, it’s definitely looking like a good Friday.
Temperatures for this weekend will start climbing up, starting from 21°C on Friday and ending all the way up to 23°C on Sunday. The lows will also start climbing, peaking at 15°C on Saturday night. For some context, this weekend’s nights will be nearly as warm as this week’s mornings, and even warmer than some of last week’s warmest moments.
Forecasts have Friday, Saturday and Sunday looking sunny all across the board, with a significantly higher UV Index of 7 reflecting that. The winds will still be hovering at Forces 3 and 4 (even going up to 5 on Saturday), but that should help add a bit of a fresh breeze to an otherwise very warm weekend.
With a positive forecast like this planned for a long weekend which also happens to coincide with Easter Sunday, we’re willing to bet a lot of people will be out in full force celebrating around Malta… and Gozo, of course.
