If you were thinking about giving your vehicle a good spring cleaning, think again, because this weather, which saw a downpour of xita tal-ħamri, will likely prevail until early next week, according to leading weather services provider Maltese Islands Weather.
“A mixture of high humidity and airborne dust over the central Mediterranean. There were also drops of rain in numerous localities,” the page wrote.
“This weather will prevail till early next week,” the post continued, adding that “this may not be the final episode of Sahara Desert weather either, with similar weather patterns likely towards the end of May/beginning of June.”
