We’ve Come So Far: Pieta’ Cannabis Cultivation Store Appears On Delivery App In Island First
About half a year after Malta regulated the personal use of weed and allowed people to grow up to four plants in their home, the first store entirely dedicated to growing and cultivating very bountiful cannabis crops has appeared on a popular delivery app.
A store in Pieta’, Cultivate, which describes itself as “Malta’s most premium cultivation store stocking the world’s most trusted brands in the heart of Pieta”, is stocking everything from carbon filters, grow tents and even pest control.
In Malta, a country still widely considered to be conservative, the fact that a store dedicated to growing dank crops can have its goods delivered right to your door in 2022 is a sign of the times – if ever one was needed – that Malta is very much continuing to pioneer a legal cannabis market.
Over the last six months, stores dedicated to growing cannabis crops – alongside experts who can break down everything you need to know, from pH levels to the correct nutrients needed to boost those THC levels – have been popping up all over the island.
However, seeing one actually appear on a delivery app – which has rules and regulations about what they can showcase – indicates that Malta may truly be cementing its position as the cannabis centre of the Mediterranean, though a lot of work still needs to be done before we get there.
Do you think Malta is incubating its cannabis industry?
