‘We’ve Had Two Small Miracles’: Father Of Baby Noah In Critical Condition Asks For Prayers

The father of a one-year and four-month-old baby who is in critical condition after falling into a pool in Gozo has asked the Maltese public for prayers.
“We’ve had two small miracles in these past few hours, but the road is uphill, and it will remain uphill for a long time. We are ready to do everything, as we always have,” Simon Mizzi wrote on Facebook.
“Pray to Our Lady of Ta’ Pinu, especially for Baby Noah, and then for us. That’s all we’re asking for.”
Simon thanked everyone for their messages but said it is impossible to reply and asked for everyone’s strength to help him, his wife Joanna and their three other children during this difficult time.
The incident happened yesterday evening at around 7.30pm in Triq Ġnien Imrik, Xagħra.
Police and a medical team from the Gozo General Hospital were immediately called to the scene, where they found the child unconscious.
The boy was rushed to the Gozo General Hospital by ambulance and later transferred to Mater Dei Hospital by helicopter for further medical care where he was certified to be in serious condition.
Magistrate Simone Grech has launched a magisterial inquiry while police investigations are still underway.
