‘Why Don’t You Do It To My Face,’ Adrian Delia Says To Robert Abela After Accusing Him Of Lying
Another day, another duel on the island.
Malta’s Leader of the Opposition has challenged Prime Minister Robert Abela to step up and lie straight to his face instead of lying about the Nationalist Party where he cannot respond.
In his strongly-worded tweet, Adrian Delia went on to accuse Abela of “sowing division” during such a sensitive time for the country as hundreds battle the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Impressed how you persist with lying about the Opposition with a straight face. Why don’t you do it to my face on your hijacked TVM? Let the people decide whose sowing division during a National Health Emergency?”

His challenge comes after Abela had criticised the Opposition for trying to score political points during the crisis in recent weeks, and now accused a PN MP of reporting himself and 12 AFM soldiers to the police for murder.
The report was filed by Repubblika and lawyer Jason Azzopardi, who is also a PN MP.
As the two leaders words continue to heat up, it might be high time for them to finally face each other in a debate – they have yet to publicly face each other in a contest of the minds.
