Woman Arrested For Trafficking €520,000 Worth Of Heroin Into Malta
A 22-year-old woman has been arrested after attempting to traffic €520,000 worth of heroin into Malta.
The woman, who is a Portuguese national, was arrested with around 4kg of heroin at the airport after landing in Malta on a flight from Paris.
The drugs were discovered behind a false bottom of her suitcase.
She was taken to the police headquarters and will be facing charges later today in front of Magistrate Nadine Lia.
